Open Soil Nutrient Datasets — Ukraine
Siora publishes free, satellite-derived soil nutrient maps covering Ukraine, in support of research, precision agriculture, and open environmental data access. The datasets cover five core soil parameters — nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic carbon, and pH — for 2000, 2010, and 2020.
Maps are generated from multispectral satellite imagery combined with topographic, climate, geological, and weather data to estimate nutrient concentrations without physical soil sampling. Each nutrient map ships as a GeoTIFF for GIS work, alongside a PNG heatmap preview and thumbnail, all released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) — free to use, redistribute, and adapt with attribution.

Method summary
These maps come from Siora's calibrated spectral analysis pipeline: multispectral imagery is corrected for atmospheric and terrain effects, then combined with auxiliary topographic, climate, geological, and soil-texture data to cut down noise and sharpen predictions. The cleaned spectral signal is compared against nutrient-specific spectral signatures to estimate concentration pixel by pixel — a repeatable, scalable way to map nutrients across a large area without physical sampling, and one that supports comparisons across time.
