AI Insights
AI Insights is an optional add-on that turns the same data behind your tables and heatmaps into a plain-language written interpretation of the field. You add it at order time from app.siora.ai, as a one-off charge per analysis date.
What's in it
The interpretation is split into five sections, laid out in a two-column grid in the report:
Summary
Four to five sentences on the overall condition of the field — nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic matter, pH, and CEC read together. The section most people read first.
Strengths
A short note on what's working, e.g. balanced organic matter and good cation exchange capacity supporting nutrient retention.
Limiting Factors
The main constraints holding the field back, e.g. phosphorus consistently low across the western half, capping the response to nitrogen application.
Management Opportunities
Actionable suggestions from the data: liming if pH is low, organic-matter strategies, or where variable-rate input might pay off.
Physical Profile
A one-line read on the field's texture — how Sand, Silt, and Clay vary across the area, and what that means for water retention and workability.
How it works
The interpretation is generated the moment your order completes, using every per-cell value for the field — including the classification labels — as input. It's built to read properties together rather than in isolation: low phosphorus on high-pH soil means something different than low phosphorus on acidic soil, and the write-up reflects that. It's generated once and cached with the order — it doesn't update over time or change between viewers.
What it's good for
- Sharing the report with someone non-technical: a buyer, a manager, a farm owner who doesn't read soil chemistry.
- A quick pre-read before a field walk — a paragraph summary beats scanning charts.
- A starting point for a more detailed agronomic plan: the limiting factors and opportunities give you a framework to build on.
What it's not
- Not a prescription — it doesn't replace an agronomist's recommendation or generate variable-rate application maps.
- Not legally binding — the language is interpretive, not certified advice.
- Not personalized to your operation — it doesn't know your rotation, equipment, budget, or yield goals. It reads the soil, nothing else.
For a more tailored interpretation, the CSV or shapefile export (seeExports) gives an agronomist everything needed to build a custom plan.
When AI Insights doesn't appear
If you didn't buy the add-on, the tab simply isn't shown. If you did buy it and the generation step had a problem, the tab also won't appear — contact support if that happens.
