Getting Started with Soil Nutrient Analysis

Siora reads your topsoil chemistry — nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH, organic matter, texture, and more — straight out of Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. No probes, no lab courier, no waiting: draw a field, pick a date, and get back a full report with a value for every 10×10 metre patch.

This guide walks through the product end to end: what a report includes, how to place an order, and where the honest limits are.

What's in one order

Every order is a one-off purchase — there's no subscription. A single order returns:

  • 10 soil properties per cell: Total Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, pH, Soil Organic Matter, Cation Exchange Capacity, and the three texture components (Sand, Silt, Clay) — plus Organic Carbon in the export files.
  • 10-metre resolution across the whole field, sourced from Sentinel-2 imagery.
  • A five-band classification (Very Low to Very High) for every value, so you can read the map without memorizing agronomic ranges.
  • Up to 6 analysis dates per order, for tracking change across seasons or years.
  • Heatmaps, distribution charts, and a per-cell data table in an interactive web report.
  • PDF, CSV, and shapefile exports for record-keeping or import into other tools.
  • A shareable link so you can send the report to an agronomist or colleague — no account required.
  • Optional add-ons: an AI-written interpretation of the field, and a weather snapshot for the analysis window.

How pricing works

Pricing runs per hectare, based on the actual submitted field area. Dates from within the last 12 months are charged at the standard rate; older dates are billed at a reduced historical rate. Current rates live on the pricing page.

Placing an order

The whole flow takes a few minutes:

  1. Sign in or continue as a guest. Start at app.siora.ai.
  2. Define your field. Draw it on the map, upload a shapefile (.zip), or pick a saved field from a previous order.
  3. Pick your dates. Choose up to 6 analysis dates.
  4. Add optional products. AI interpretation and/or a weather snapshot, if you want them.
  5. Pay and wait. Payment runs through Stripe with an emailed invoice; most orders finish within minutes.

Orders process in the background, and you'll get an email with a direct link to the report once it's ready — typically within minutes, depending on field size and how many dates you requested.

What this product is not

  • It doesn't replace a certified lab test where you need legally certified results for compliance or contracts — it's a high-resolution, spatially complete picture calibrated against tens of thousands of lab samples, not a lab report itself.
  • It's currently limited to Europe. The underlying model is calibrated for European soils and doesn't return values elsewhere yet.
  • It doesn't generate prescription or VRA files directly. The per-cell data can feed a VRA tool, but the export is data, not a ready-made application map.
